Seeing the difficulty women had in obtaining timely and accessible health care, Dr. Sarah Hoque was inspired to pursue a career in medicine. As a medical student, she volunteered at the Jackson Free Clinic in Jackson, Mississippi. Additionally, her role as the Sergeant at Arms of Toastmasters International at the Mississippi State University Chapter provided Sarah with valuable skills that she has utilized over the years in presentations on a varied range of topics including childbirth, Hepatitis B and Women in Islam.
