Ana Saavedra is a pediatric provider at our clinic in Little Village. Before joining Esperanza, she completed a 1-year APRN Fellowship at Erie Family Health Centers, another FQHC in Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Georgetown University before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Ana was born and raised in Little Village and witnessed many inequalities within the community. She always wanted to return to Little Village/the southside and serve the community that fostered her passion for health equity and primary care. She was drawn to Esperanza by our growth over the years in providing healthcare access to the community. Ana is passionate about serving under-resourced communities and addressing health inequalities and social injustices. Her passions also include pediatrics, adolescent health, childhood obesity, breastfeeding education, and community outreach. In her spare time, she enjoys using her Peloton bike, trying new restaurants in Chicago, and traveling.
