Coming in 2019: Esperanza Brighton Park

Announcements

At Esperanza, we believe every person has a right to high-quality and accessible health care.

But for thousands of people who live in Brighton Park, Gage Park, Back of the Yards and Archer Heights, access to quality care can be hard to come by.

Esperanza is developing a state-of-the-art center that will proudly put quality health within reach.

Esperanza Health Centers, a top-ranked Federally-Qualified Health Center serving low-income and uninsured residents of neighboring South Lawndale, is teaming up with Mujeres Latinas en Acción to create a new medical home for the community - a model health center that will weave together wellness, medical care, social services and recreation for residents of the area. Situated on one of Brighton Park’s busiest intersections and designed by award-winning architect Juan Gabriel Moreno of JGMA Architects, the center will not only bring better health and wellness to the area, but will serve as a catalyst to transform the community and bring renewed vitality and pride to Brighton Park.

All this will be offered in a building whose aim is to promote the social and physical environment needed for better health. A playground, community room, garden, and other indoor and outdoor areas will give all residents of the neighborhood something that cannot be found for miles around - a much-needed community oasis for health, well-being and recreation.Esperanza Brighton Park will be located on the southwest corner of South California Avenue and 47th Street in the heart of Brighton Park, where it will be easily accessible by the CTA California Avenue bus and the 47th Street bus.
